Our Zero-Identity Approach
You can use Equily's core features without providing any personal information. We don't connect to your brokerage accounts, we don't track your real investments, and we don't require an email to analyze a portfolio. The data you enter is for educational analysis only.
What We Collect
Portfolio Data You Enter
When you analyze a portfolio, you enter ticker symbols, share quantities, and approximate values. This data is:
- Used solely for generating your EPR analysis
- Not connected to any real brokerage accounts
- Stored only if you choose to save or publish your portfolio
- Deletable at any time from your profile
Session Data
We use anonymous session identifiers to maintain your session state. If you create an account, we store a username you choose. We do not require or store your real name for account creation.
Optional Information
You may optionally provide:
- Email address — Only if you join the Founders Club, submit feedback, or opt into notifications
- Name — Only if you join the Founders Club waitlist
Analytics
We use privacy-focused analytics to understand how our platform is used and improve it:
- PostHog — Product analytics for understanding feature usage. We use privacy-respecting settings and do not track personally identifiable information.
- Vercel Analytics — Basic web performance metrics (page load times, visitor counts).
We do not sell or share analytics data with third parties for advertising purposes.
Cookies
We use essential cookies for:
- Session management — Keeping you logged in
- Cookie consent — Remembering your cookie preferences
- Theme preferences — Remembering light/dark mode

Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- EOD Historical Data (EODHD) — Market data provider for stock prices, ETF information, and financial data. Their privacy policy applies to data they collect.
- MongoDB — Database hosting for storing portfolio analyses and user preferences.
- Vercel — Platform hosting and deployment.
Data Retention & Deletion
- Unsaved analyses — Temporary data from portfolio analyses is not permanently stored unless you choose to save it.
- Saved portfolios — You can delete saved portfolios at any time from your profile.
- Published portfolios — You can unpublish portfolios to remove them from public view.
- Account deletion — Contact us at support@equily.app to request complete account deletion.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to processing of your data
- Request data portability
- Withdraw consent at any time
